Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Instructions to Authors

 

The AJBAS published original research and review articles in all discipline of science. The language of the journal is English.

 

Submission of Manuscripts

Submission of a manuscript to this journal implies that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscript should be submitted in triplicate in type written using word processing software such as MS Word (version 2003/2007) along with a CD to the Associate Editors, AJBAS, Midnapore College (Autonomous), Midnapore-721101, West Bengal, India. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscript length should be 6 to 18 pages. The manuscript should be written in Times New Roman font, letter size 12, double spacing throughout the text. The AJBAS can exceptionally accept shorter or longer manuscripts, provided that the scientific content is of high value. All submitted manuscripts must include the following items:

Title

List of authors, their affiliations and email addresses

Abstract

Introduction

Main body

Results and discussion

Conclusions

Acknowledgments

References

 

Title - Make sure that the title is specific and concise. Titles should be presented in title case - all words except the first word should be in lower case letters.

Authors and affiliations - Provide the full names and affiliations of all the authors. Affiliations should include department, university or organization, city, and country. The email address of the corresponding author should included.

Abstract and Keywords - The abstract should contain a briefly introduction, objectives, methods, results and conclusion. The abstract should not exceeding 250 words. Provide a maximum of 5-6 keywords.

Introduction - The introduction section should provide a context for your manuscript. When preparing the introduction, please bear in mind that some readers will not be experts in your field of research.

Main body - the main body part should include the aim and objectives, methodology, results and discussions.

Conclusions - A conclusion is where you summarize the paper's findings and generalize their importance, discuss ambiguous data, and recommend further research. An effective conclusion should provide closure for a paper, leaving the reader feeling satisfied that the concepts have been fully explained.

Acknowledgments - The acknowledgments section includes the names of people who in some way contributed to the work, but do not fit the criteria to be listed as the authors. This section of your manuscript can also include information about funding sources.

ReferencesAll references must be numbered consecutively (in order of appearance in the body text) and citations of references in the text should be identified using numbers in square brackets. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the information in each reference is complete and accurate.

Tables and Figures

Tables: Tables should be typed on separate sheet of paper without text matter on the page. They should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and should bear brief title.

Figures: Three sets of illustrations are to be submitted. Figures must be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals. Captions and legends to the figures should be self-explanatory and should be typed below the illustration.

Structural Formulae: The number of structural formulae should be restricted to the bare minimum. Wherever the purpose is adequately served by giving chemical or common names, these should be given.

Abbreviations: Standard International practices for abbreviations should be used in the text and illustrations without full stop mark.

 

N.B. The printed form of the reprint will be in Black and White only.

 

Proofs and Reprints

After publication, one hard copy of the paper/Journal will be sent to the corresponding/first author free of cost. Additional reprints of article will be provided at a cost of Rs. 10/- per page.

 

Copyright

Upon submission of an article, the authors will have to agree that the copyright of the article will be automatically transferred to the publisher, after accepting for publication. Please find the copyright form.
